I'm glad Smokey says they'll win! Maybe he thinks they'll even be on FIRE! A least he didn't say "Who cares, there is always next season." But of course you KNOW who said that!! Oh, yeah he was just being himself!!!!!!!

#2 Smokey doesn't like to use the word Fire, and Manny is Manny...you know he and Papi and Beckett are carrying the team..We need Pedroia and Youk to get on base..Manny just wants the clubhouse to be loose and not feel pressure.!!
What can I say except, "take your foot out of you mouth Manny!" We WILL win and I am inclined to think that Manny just wanted the Indians to THINK that the Sox have given up.
I been able to hear and understand Smokey since both of my boys were little. ;0}

I sort of hate to say it, but......
I think that having been born in the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico, Smokey might actually be rootin' for the Colorado Rockies. :>(

Where Smokey was born is not relevant because, I know someone born in Mississippi who is a Red Sox fan!
I know Smokey's not a relevant. He's not gray and doesn't have a trunk. He's brown and fuzzy (except for the dungarees), and was born in Lincoln County, New Mexico - site of the Lincoln County Range Wars and home of Billy the Kidder!
When I lived there in the '60s, the only Colorado Rockies were the mountains, and late at night you could pick up WBZ on the radio.
Of Coors, you could always have fun in Golden, Colorado, too. :>)
