When I saw this ad in the Dec 3rd edition of Sports Illustrated , I laughed. Believe me unless the guy in the ad is looking in a mirror and laughing at that stupid scarf then, let just say I'm laughing at him, not with him.
What scares me is that ad didn't just come out of nowhere. I mean they ("Docker/Levi Strauss") must have done some research. It means their are actually people, "men" dressing like this.
He probably has a bunch of buddies that tie their sweaters around their necks and hang out at the country club...
The sweater, the pants yes....The SCARF..wow, that's just wrong. I don't even know why it's wrong but if I met someone like this I am sure I would make a comment. I wouldn't be able to control myself.
If you get me in the Christmas Grab: DON"T BUY ME A SCARF!!

Ha ha ... I think the outfit is okay without the scarf definitely. Although on my monitor, that sweater looks a little on the pink side. Well, I have to say that I think some of my art student friends, or my guy friends who are gay just MIGHT wear the scarf. BUT in their defense, they would actually wear it to stay warm, in the cold, not like that. ;) And I would laugh at them, not behind their backs, but to their face. Because I love to talk fashion with everyone; and by "talk fashion" I often mean "insult what others are wearing."
In the old days, the guys in China wore towels round their neck, so they could wipe off the sweat from their faces. There are still some Chinese guys who do that though. I think the company is trying to bring that fashion back.....

But yes, I agree. That is tres not manly. I think that the whole "metrosexual" thing is taking over the world.
Just one minute.....Personally, I think he looks just fine! Lately, the "manly-look" is the unshaven and scruffy-looking, baggy pants look. UGH!
He looks like he just farted and he's lost a little on the back end and now he's trying to play it off like nothing happened.
I think that the scarf is going to come in quite handy in the next few moments.....
