Urine Test

I HAVE TO PASS A URINE TEST FOR MY JOB.. SO I AGREE 100%. Like
a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work. Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though . . . . Something has to change in this country -- and soon

Hmmm...I have an aunt with two young children who I have urged to request welfare, but she will never do it. Too proud I guess...although she is in dire straits, and I believe the welfare system was created for people like her. And yes, she would be willing to submit to, and would pass, a urine test, for this.

At one time in my life, I was regrouping from a terrible tragedy. Perhaps I could have qualified for some form of welfare or even food stamps. I also would have passed the test, although with my beliefs, I would have been pissed off and insulted by it.

So I have two people for you that aren't sitting on their ass doing drugs who could benefit from the program and never even used it. I'm sure that anytime you try to help in this world, there are those who take advantage and also a majority who truly need support.

aintneverscared....I love that you are never scared to give your opinion!! Being the Devils Advocate though...too often the system meant to help those in need, like the ones you mentioned, suffers great abuse by those who just play the system or shouldn't be on it at all...

I have stood in line at grocery store & watched the customer in front of me wearing leather from head to toe and about 6 gold chains around the neck & rings on every finger use food stamps. Forgot to mention this customer also had a manicure that had to have cost as much as my dental bill!

Doing a whizz in a cup is a small inconvenience for honesty and fairness, I reckon.
