Minnie's Not Happy

Ever have a scratch you couldn't itch? Us humans find a back scratcher or a long spoon and usually reach that itch...Try being a Dachshund with a itch you can't reach. Little legs, Hotdog Body...Minnie's been scratching with her leg but only reaching her belly and now she's scratched a sore on herself. She's going to the Vet tomorrow, her allergy pills aren't helping. So to keep her from scratching herself raw her "Mom" tied a TiShrt around her belly and it seems to have helped prevent her from harming herself any more. She hates to wear anything and normally stands like a statue whenever any kind of costume or dog wear has ever been put on her..She's not happy...But she looks funny in her T-Shirt and I just had to post it.

Hope everyone out there is doing well, I've been extremely busy lately and will be taking a short trip in the middle of September..The destination...Las Vegas...There will be pictures and much to report I'm sure.

even though i am happy that minnie is not as itchy today, i am disappointed that i did not get to see her in her t-shirt in person!

Jackie, she's being fitted for a new one right now!

What a cute picture - the slightly offended look on Minnie's face is a classic!

I agree about the look--too funny! I know my cat rears his head and neck around when any foreign object is placed on him (including even a collar), as if it weighed 10 lbs. Sheesh.

Vegas, eh?! I am so jealous! I've never been! Lots of gambling and partying on the agenda or what?

Milly, you pegged that look ok!

Aint, I'm just going to relax, Gamble and Party!!

Poor Minnie - it's bad enough that she has to wear that fur suit in the summer, now she is wearing an unattractive tee shirt. "What's a girl to do?" Of course she's peeved, I wonder if a little benedril (?) on the scratchy spot would help? Just wondering what will happen when "auntie weewee" comes to call.....

Poor Minnie. Having gone through a week of extreme itchiness myself due to the plaster case on my left foot, I can feel her frustrations.

Hey! I want to go to Las Vegas too! You should have sounded me earlier. I'm going to the little brother of Las Vegas, Macau. ish.

What kind of shirt is she being fitted for? A strasight jacket perhaps??? Is the scratching due to, dare I say it....FLEAS?? I doubt it as she is so into her bath and beauty rituals! Are your bags packed? All pictures you take will be screened, you must remember, what happens in Vegas - Stays in Vegas!!!

Awe, poor Minnie, all dressed up and no place to go :)

I agree with anonymous, Benadryl just might help.

Have a great time in Vegas and I hope you win a progressive jackpot!

I have a Dachshund and so I know about their inabilities because of their stubby legs! Enjoy Las Vegas!

Its nice to give Minnnie a teddy bear when she's feeling down, you're so compassionate.

Stacy, despite what has been said about those stuffy New Englanders..we are very compassionate toward dogs up here!
