Celtics, St Patrick, Arks......

St Patty's Day is upon us and I'll be wearing the green at the Celtics game Wednesday night. I'm bringing a friend of mine who I don't see often enough. The last time we went to a game together was Game J in 1986 when Larry Bird and the gang trounced the Houston Rockets and won the NBA Championship.

Well the game Wednesday isn't quite as promising,  current Celtic team has been falling a bit flat lately,  but the company will be good and it is St Patrick's Day!!

In other NEWS!

The rain has finally stopped falling!! I was beginning to think the Mayans got it wrong and the world was ending now instead of December 21st 2012. Despite the fact that Peabody, Ma got over 8 INCHES of the wet stuff....... I never got to sign up for those Ark Building Classes and was beginning to regret it..But it stopped..

The Mayans are still on course...we got a good 20 months or so before were going to need  an Ark

Plenty of time to enjoy a couple Martinis and enjoy life...

With the World Champion Boston Celtics playing Game Three tonight in Chicago I need to call on everyone who reads this to wear a little green today and maybe just mention to someone out loud that:

"You hope the Celtics win tonight."

Doing this, even if you live in Australia, will just increase their chances of winning and lead the Celtics to victory..and I will really appreciate your efforts.

We could also use a little friendly Witchcraft, maybe a nice Winning Spell would help if there is anyone out there familiar with winning spells

It's not that I am superstitious or anything but currently the TV Room here at the Hideaway is adorned with Celtics shirts and memorabilia...It will not come down until their Final Victory.

Things you can do today to give the Celtics good MoJo !

Wear Green !!

Tell someone that you hope they win, don't worry if they are from Sydney Australia and have no idea who the Celtics are, it's ok and you will seem much more worldly!!

Take the night off from cooking and order some take out, get your favorite beverage and watch the game!!

Wear Green!!

Propose this toast for the Celtics at game time 8pm EST:

" Celts! Celts!" tap your cups, then say "Win! Win!" drink it and then tap your glasses on the table twice.

Repeat this toast as often as necessary!!

Celtics are Back !!

Two Tom's Hideaway Team Members were lucky enough to get into the TD BankNorth Garden last night and see the NBA Champion Boston Celtics kick off their season 2008-09 Season, get their rings and ......

Raise the newest banner..for their 17th Championship !!

Did I mention that the Celtics Dancers/Cheerleaders were there??

Such Hard working Girls !!

And Kevin Youkilis from the Boston Red Sox was there, with the Cheerleaders !!

The Celtics "Lucky" took the hand-off from Youkilis and made the basket.

They didn't call a foul on #55 Wright as he was pulling the Jersey of his own teammate , Anderson Verajo, under the hoop.

The Celtics went on to win their opening game and let's hope they can have another great season this year !!

Getting Ready For Game 5, Fathers Day.

The last time it happened was 1986.....

My Game "J" Ticket above got me into the 6th Game of the NBA finals back in 1986.

My friend Mitch won the tickets in a raffle and we watched as the Celtics rolled over the Houston Rockets and win the NBA Championship for the 16th time...

The ticket price then was $14.00 dollars, we paid $5 for the Raffle Ticket...today you are talking at least $150.00 dollars admission to the game this Sunday.

It along with the ticket above, an original piece of the Old Boston Garden Floor, a Kevin Garnett Bobble Head and a stuffed Paul Pierce Bear, along with many many Celtics Shirts, Flags and assorted memorabilia make up the Family Room Shrine today as we get set for Game 5 this Father's Day...
